Jail Outreach volunteers participate in County Jail programs
For several years now the Jail Outreach has had the privilege to conduct Cognitive Thinking classes at the Marinette and Menominee County jails. Marinette County recently added two additional programs that are conducted by the Jail Outreach. Family Reunification and a Women’s Bible study. Cognitive Thinking promotes positive cognitive change among offenders, transforming the “stinking thinking” that keeps them stuck in destructive behaviors that lead to repeat incarcerations. Family Reunification addresses how the inmate leaving jail or prison reintegrates back into family. The Women’s Bible Study is conducted by the Jail Outreach ladies. The female inmates study God’s word and learn the biblical principles that give them hope and a positive outlook on life.
